What is IAQ and HAVC?

HVAC and IAQ are inextricably linked, as HVAC plays a pivotal role in upholding indoor air quality. HVAC is responsible for filtering air throughout buildings, filtering out pollutants, and controlling humidity levels – thus creating the ideal living or working environment for its occupants. Regular HVAC maintenance ensures healthy IAQ conditions as well as overall well-being for its occupants.

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) can often be compromised by common pollutants:

1.VOCs: From paint, cleaners and furniture VOCs can cause irritation and respiratory problems;

2. Particulate Matter (PM): Pollen and mold contribute significantly to allergy development as well as respiratory ailments in their own right.

3. Carbon Monoxide (CO), released during incomplete combustion, causes headaches and respiratory distress.

4. Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) released from fuel-burning appliances worsens asthmatic symptoms and lung function.

5. Formaldehyde Emitted by wood products, adhesives, and fabrics causes irritation as well as respiratory ailments.

6. Ozone: Generated by electronic devices for example printer etc, ozone affects lung function and worsens asthma.

7. Ammonia Gas: From cleaning products, ammonia irritates eyes, nose, and throat, and leads to coughing and wheezing.

What is HVAC Sensor!

An HVAC sensor is a device designed to measure and monitor various parameters within HVAC systems. HVAC sensors play an integral role in HVAC systems as they provide real-time data on temperature, humidity, air quality, pressure and other environmental factors affecting comfort in indoor spaces. Information collected by HVAC sensors enables regulators and optimizers to regulate and improve system performance ensuring efficient heating, cooling, ventilation for maintaining an ideal indoor climate environment.
